Setting up the device

The BRU Maker One has arrived, what's next? Here's how to get started:

• Open the box and take the enclosed instruction manual. Or download it here. Please read all safety instructions and warnings carefully.
• Carefully remove the BRU Maker One from the packaging. There may be some dust on the machine, as we use recycled cardboard elements for the sake of the environment. If necessary, remove dust with a slightly damp cloth.
• After unpacking, make sure that the product is complete and undamaged and that all accessories are present.

• BRU Maker One machine
• Power cord (with the correct power plug for your country)
• Water tank
• Water tank lid
• Tea strainer
• Tea strainer lid
• Glass brewing chamber: There is a separate cardboard insert in the packaging. This contains the glass brewing chamber. Be careful when opening. Place the box on a flat surface and carefully cut the adhesive tape.
• Silicone nozzle (already assembled)
• Magnetic drip tray
• Drip grid
• Reset pin
• Instruction manual

If any of the parts are damaged or missing, please contact our customer service.

• Remove the water tank lid from the machine and slide the water tank upwards out of the machine.
• Rinse the water tank, the lid, the tea strainer, its lid and the brewing chamber with clean water out. Allow all items to dry completely, or dry them only with a soft, suitable cloth.
• Place the BRU Maker One on a flat and stable surface.
• Tilt your BRU Maker One carefully to attach the power cable to the bottom. Wind the power cable up in the cable duct to the length you want.
• Check that the silicone nozzle is correctly seated. To do this, carefully pull on the protruding end. If nothing slips, then it is in the perfect position and you can get started right away!
• Open the machine lid to insert the brewing chamber and the tea strainer including the lid. Close the machine lid again.
• Fill the water tank with water and then put it back in. Make sure it is properly seated. If not, align it correctly and push it into the machine from above. Close the water tank with the corresponding lid.
• Attach the magnetic drip tray (with drip grid) and place a cup under the spout.
• Connect the device to a power socket.
• Now we will carry out a cleaning brewing process without tea:
• First, the welcome screen appears with the 'HELLO BRU' display. Wait until you see this screen:
• Turn the middle knob to the right until you get to the "DISPENSER" screen:

• Press the left button to select “SETUP”.
• Set thewater temperature “MAX” by turning the middle knob to the right. Press “NEXT”.
• Set the water quantity to 100 ml by turning the middle knob. Press “NEXT”.
• Press “START”.
• The machine will dispense hot water into the cup. This is not suitable for drinking!

•  Turn the middle knob to the left until you return to the main menu. Your BRU Maker One is ready to use. You can now start brewing!
